How Tweet It Is: The Twitter IPO

Long before many individuals even knew how to Tweet, I started following Twitter as a private company.  In my first book, Wave Theory for Alternative Investments which was published by McGraw-Hill in 2010, I highlighted just 5 private companies one of which was Twitter.  In 2009, “The company raised $35 million in February and then $100 million in September. Twitter is growing the fastest.” (see Part II Venture Capital Page 162)  Today, Twitter became the 3rd largest VC backed IPO, raising $2.1 billion on November 7th.  Twitter was also the 2nd largest Internet IPO.
